Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA / CPRA), you have the right to limit the use and disclosure of certain categories of sensitive personal information.
What Counts as Sensitive Personal Information?
Sensitive personal information includes categories such as a Social Security number; driver's license, state ID, or passport number; financial account credentials; precise geolocation; racial or ethnic origin; religious beliefs; mail, email, or text message contents; genetic data; biometric identifiers; and information about health, sex life, or sexual orientation.
Our Practices
In the course of a real estate transaction Jacob Baer may receive certain sensitive personal information from clients, for example, financial account information shared with a lender or title company, or government-issued identification used to verify identity. We use that information only as reasonably necessary to perform the requested service and to comply with legal obligations, and we do not use or disclose it for purposes of inferring characteristics about you.
Because we already limit the use of sensitive personal information to permitted purposes under CCPA section 7027(m), we are not required to offer a separate "limit" mechanism. We are publishing this page so you can confirm our practices and submit a request if you choose.
Submit a Request to Limit
- Email jacob@baerrealestate.com with the subject line "Limit Sensitive Information Request."
- Include your full name, mailing address, and email address so we can locate your record and confirm your identity.
- We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days, with the possibility of one 45-day extension for complex requests.
Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of your written authorization and we may require you to verify your identity directly.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to limit. Your access to brokerage services, pricing, and quality of representation will not be affected.
